Perth’s new luxury hotel accommodation can be found at the Westin, positioned right in the heart of the Perth CBD. The luxury hotel hosts a number of fantastic bars including ‘Garum’ and ‘Haven Lounge’ where you can experience world-class food and beverages.
The hotel consists of 3 bar locations operating from 2 different cool rooms. The main cool room serves 2 bars within the hotel, belonging to the Garum restaurant and the Haven Lounge. Each bar was treated separately to maintain their own ‘vibe’ with 2 custom fonts fitted in Haven Lounge and 6 skinny fonts in Garum. Going above and beyond, we also installed an electric pump and dispensing font on a milk fridge for quick and easy milk dispensing for customers looking for more of a caffeine boost.
The second cool room is located on the function room level, operating the back-of-house function bar with 6 taps, allowing for great product selection when hosting a function for any occasion. The installation features another signature Barons chiller plate and beer pump dispensing system, designed to minimise operational expenses.
What was the client’s issue that needed fixing?
The Westin was constructed by BGC and BPi, and needed a team to help design and install a draught system that would meet the requirements from the design team who were working with The Westin’s hotel operator.
The design required the main cool room for beer dispensing to be located on the basement level service dock. This resulted in our team needing to work with the builder to design a critical pathway for python installation due to the nature of the long runs from cool room to the bar area.
What was the nature of your solution?
Line size diameter was needed to be altered from our standard 6.35mm to 8mm to allow for the increased length of python

Barons were also contracted to install the post mix pythons for the team at Schweppes (Now Asahi).
